Industrial Door Servicing At Stanair
When we service your industrial door, the Stanair team will be able to pick up on early signs of wear and tear and detect any hidden issues that could cause a breakdown later. Servicing is undertaken to check that the relevant equipment and machinery such as the industrial doors, gates and barriers are in good safe working condition. This is to ensure that the equipment does not deteriorate to the extent that it may put people at risk and cause harm or injury.
At Stanair we carry out a comprehensive check to make sure all aspects of the industrial door and/or physical security equipment are state of the art and safe. Here is a list of some of the items we check through when servicing your industrial doors:
- Structural Integrity: This includes bearings, foundation, barrels and retaining pins, welds, fixing, guides, tracks and steel wires cables and travel stops.
- Functional Testing: We ensure that that manual operation, limit switches, safety edges, all operate as intended.
- Electrical Safety: This includes wiring, enclosures, isolation and termination.
Following initial checks, our engineers will lubricate all moving parts and friction points including bearings, rollers, track guides and springs. We will also carry out adjustments where required to make sure the equipment runs freely and operates as per manufactures instruction.
Our engineers will also check to make sure your equipment is up to date with the latest regulations, including:
- Fall back protection covering failure of a single critical component
- BS 7671 electrical wiring regulations
- Safety devices on powered doors, gates and barriers covered under En 12453
On completion of the service, where the equipment is safe and has passed, a certificate will be given to the customer on request. Should there be any ongoing issues with the industrial door or equipment, a quotation with the recommendation of improvements will be provided on request and follow up work can be provided.
A broken industrial door can cause great disruption to your business. To try to avoid time-consuming breakdowns and costly repairs, it's a good idea to have your industrial doors serviced on a regular basis.
