Ise Lodge Falcons Swoop to Victory

Well. It is official. Scientists have proven that sports and exercise benefit the body and mind in all sorts of ways – especially if you start at an early age. However, children these days are more likely to be found buried in a screen than enjoying team sports. It is a big and growing problem for a lot of parents – just how can they encourage their child to get out and exercise, meet new people in real life and improve their mental health? 

 

A local football team could be the answer to their prayers. 

 

Joining a sports team enhances fitness, improves concentration and reduces feelings of stress and depression. This is why Stanair is very proud to be the sponsor of the Ise Lodge Falcons Under 14’s team – currently top of Division One in the Weetabix Youth Football League. 

 

The team are only two games away from being crowned the unbeaten champions of the season and gaining the title of ‘invincibles.’ Playing in Division One itself requires the team to be the best of the best – and to win the league is an amazing achievement. To win it unbeaten is incredible! 

 

Manish, the manager of the Falcons, credits their success to the team’s 'high quality' and possessing ‘real strength.’ Even in the pre-season, the team were winning decisive victories over other teams and won two tournaments based in Peterborough and Rothwell. 

 

Their season began well with a 6-0 away win against the Rothwell Aztec warriors and this winning streak continues for the next ten matches! In fact, the club has only suffered one draw all season and their title was secured in a resounding 13-0 away win against Higham Town. 

 

What’s next for the Falcons? They are aiming high. They are determined to win the League Cup and become the League and Cup Champions. Well done everyone – Stanair could not be prouder of your efforts and are glad to support the team through supplying the kits for the boys.
