Stanair were proud to support the KOS Musical Theatre Company (KOSMTC)in their latest production of ‘Sister Act’. Following on from a successful run of the production, ‘All Shook Up’, the company returned to the Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering for another week of performances.
The musical stage production of Sister Act is based on the 1992 film which starred Whoopi Goldberg. The musical is the story of a lounge singer who witnesses a mob crime. For her own protection, the police place her in hiding as a nun in a traditional convent where she has trouble fitting in. The colourful story is full of twists and turns which has made the musical a well-loved classic.
Such a popular production meant there were big shoes to fill for KOSMTC. Their production, much to the audience’s delight, did not disappoint. There were show-stopping renditions of the classic songs from the whole company, with some breath-taking solo performances from the leading cast members too. This, combined with the brilliant set design from the crew, made each performance one to remember, and resulted in many standing ovations at curtain calls.
“We’ve been proud to support KOS for a number of years now and have enjoyed watching many of their productions,” said Martin Wall, Director at Stanair, “we were amazed again by Sister Act and can’t wait to see what they will be performing next.”
Congratulations to the whole of the cast and crew on another brilliant production from all of the team at Stanair!
