Stanair are delighted to see motorcyclist, Annabel ‘Abbz’ Thomas, get off to a flying start this season.
Supporting the young rider for 4 years and having a great run of competitions, Abbz unfortunately had to put the brakes on last year after breaking both feet. After undergoing laser surgery and physiotherapy, Abbz managed to make a great recovery and is back on the bike stronger than ever.
Abbz and the Four Anjels team, which includes dedicated dad, Steffan, flew out to Cartagena in Spain earlier this year for some all-important testing. The team were put through their paces, practising at the Circuit of Speed, which included developing their racing styles and pulling in some impressive lap times.
Since returning to the UK, the season has now officially started and Abbz has hit the track running. Racing on her new look Moto3 Honda, Abbz has delivered time and time again achieving some fantastic results (including pole positions!). Her success has led to a recent report in the Northants Telegraph, showcasing just how well she is doing.
Stanair are one of a small number of local businesses who are supporting Burton Latimer based Abbz. The support given by each business helps Abbz progress in her early racing career, along with the all-important training and equipment.
“It’s brilliant to see how well Abbz is doing after coming back from such an injury,” said Martin Wall, Director at Stanair, “it’s great to be part of a number of local businesses supporting her in her journey, and we look forward to the rest of the season.”
