Stanair were delighted to support and attend the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards Launch in April.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing rules in place, the traditional networking launch was replaced with a virtual one. Judges, sponsors, previous winners and members of the Northamptonshire business community all logged in to the virtual gathering to network and find out about the plans for this year’s awards.

Part of the 2020 business awards includes three new categories; Family Business of the Year, Positive Impact Award and Business Hero of the Year. The second and third newest additions are ones created specifically to celebrate those who have made a positive difference amidst the ongoing pandemic faced by everyone across the globe.

Amongst the attendees was Stanair Kettering Depot Manager, Jane Kirwan, who is also on the Judging Panel for this year’s awards. Jane shared her top tips on how businesses can make their entries stand out to judges and leave a lasting impression, leading them to a potential finalist status. The event also acted as an opportunity for members of the Northamptonshire business community to network and come together, something that in today’s current climate isn’t as regular.

“The SME Northamptonshire Business Awards are a brilliant way to bring businesses from across the county together and share some much needed positivity in these unprecedented times.”, said Jane, “I’m really looking forward to reading about all of their fantastic work in their entries.”

Businesses and individuals can see all of the awards categories enter online here, and have until 11th June 2020 to do so. Good luck to all of those entering and we look forward to celebrating with you later this year!
