A season full of twists and turns for Symcirrus Motorsport
The motorcycling season has now come to an end and we’ve been delighted to support a number of local teams this year, including SymCirrus Motorsport. Based in Northamptonshire, Symcirrus Motorsport is made up of two riders; Edmund Best and Elliot Pinson and managed by Desborough based team owner, Steve Holborough.

Edmund started the season well, competing in the Motostar class. He achieved top ten finishes over the course of the first five rounds, achieving a magnificent 3rd place at Thruxton. After a strong start, however, Edmund had an accident at Cadwell Park, resulting in him breaking a vertebrae in his back. Taking time out to recover and heal, he then returned to the last round of the Moto3 at Brands Hatch and managed to finish 10th overall in the championship standings. An impressive achievement after overcoming such injuries!

Elliot, who was racing in his first season with Symcirrus, has had a tremendous run. The 14 year old was competing in the Junior Supersport championship, and has finished every race competed in (bar one) on the podium. This season has seen him take four wins, and completing the championship in 3rd place overall.

“We’re absolutely delighted with the efforts of both Edmund and Elliot this season,” said Martin Wall, Director at Stanair, “both finishing in the top ten in their classes, especially after the break that Edmund had, is truly something to be proud of.”

Both Edmund and Elliot are taking a well-earned rest before training commences again. They’ll both be competing in the same classes and have big dreams to win their championships next season.

We’d like to send our congratulations to the whole Symcirrus Motorsport team and wish them all the best for next season!
