Raising the flag for a great cause
Over their 40 years in business, Stanair and their sister company Shire Security always have and always will put people at the centre of everything they do.

That is why they choose to support so many communities in their local areas, from grassroots projects right through to professional sports teams.

Stanair and Shire were delighted to recently support local school, the Sir Christopher Hatton Academy, by donating a flagpole to be installed on site.

The academy, based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, was established in 1983, merging the former Westfield Boys School and Breezehill Girls School. The school has a history of independence as a Grant Maintained School and then a Foundation School. It was converted to Academy status in March 2012, with a clear aim to achieve excellence in all that they do.

In partnership with sister company Shire Security, Stanair were delighted to team up and donate the brand new flagpole, which stands proudly at the school.

The flagpole played a key part in the recent Armistice Day, in which the whole academy community stood together in the heart of Hatton to pay their respects. In addition to this, one student was given the responsibility to lower and raise the Union Jack.

“Both Stanair and Shire are all about people and those that make up our communities.” said Martin Wall, Director at Stanair. “It was a great pleasure to give our support to a local community, and to do our bit to support and help play a part in the Armistice Day Ceremony.”
