Stanair were delighted to support the Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Annual Awards in October.
The foundation are the leading grant-making charity in the county and deliver a whole host of funding to the local community and voluntary sector. The hard work of the foundation serves some of Northamptonshire’s most disadvantaged communities, and aims to improve the lives of those people within them. The number of grants awarded reach over £1million annually, tackling important issues such as child poverty, homelessness and unemployment.
The annual awards took place at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate this year. These awards are designed to celebrate the individuals and groups that make the all-important difference to the very communities the Northamptonshire Community Foundation support.
Simon Barnicoat, Sales Manager at Stanair, was there on the evening to present this year’s Best Newcomer Award, of which Ashton Conker Club won. The club hold an annual championship in Northamptonshire which attract over 3,000 spectators and raises funds for good causes across the county.
“We’ve been a supporter of the Northamptonshire Community Foundation for a number of years now,” said Simon, “at Stanair, the importance of our local communities and the individuals in them is paramount, and it’s wonderful to see so many good causes being recognised at the awards.”
