The SME Buckinghamshire Business Awards 2017 were launched at Chicheley Hall in Newport Pagnell where firms from across the county came together to hear more about the awards and how by taking part can make a real difference to their future success.

“Awards are a hidden marketing gem as well as an opportunity to network with likeminded success driven businesses.” said Martin Wall, Director at Stanair, Headline sponsor of the 2017 Awards. “As a firm that serves the local business community we are delighted to back these Awards and look forward to seeing the difference they will make to those who take part.”

The 2017 SME Buckinghamshire Business Awards are open to all sole traders and businesses in the region with less than 250 employees, who commenced business before January 2015, or for new businesses who started after January 2015.

“Buckinghamshire is home to successful and hardworking business who make a real difference to the regional and national economy.” said Damian Cummins from Award Organisers Events & PR. “It was great to see so many people at Chicheley Hall coming together to launch such an important event for business.”

The latest economic research for Buckinghamshire has shown that while 1 in 7 local firms are wholly dependent on sales within the county over a quarter (26%) engage in overseas sales.

“We know that a growing number of SMEs from Buckinghamshire are doing business across the world.” Damian Cummins continued. “That is another reason why taking part in high profile awards is so important.”

“The global market place is more competitive than ever and being an ‘award winning’ business can and does open doors to potential customers and investors.”

The Awards have 23 categories and will recognise innovation, enterprise, employers, employees and excellence across various sectors.
