The Stanair Milton Keynes Team
Having worked for the company for over twenty years, Wayne is a long serving member of the Stanair family. Starting as the depot manager of Milton Keynes after a career in insurance, Wayne was promoted to director in 2020.
Wayne’s day to day responsibilities revolve around making sure that ‘things run smoothly’ – whether that is within the Milton Keynes depot itself or across the company. With an eye on ‘shaping the next generation’, Wayne is a forward thinker; he is always ready to listen to and consider the next big idea as well as making sure that, in the current moment, the Stanair team stay happy and fulfilled. He is always on hand to offer the benefit of his expertise and is committed to maintaining the success of the company into its next fifty years.
When he is not at work, Wayne can be found indulging in a spot of golf, attending live music gigs with his daughter or around his pets: a puggle named Charlie, a ginger tom called Thomas and an African land snail named Gary.
Andrea works as one of the Service Administrators in Milton Keynes and carries out various administration tasks to help ensure that everything runs smoothly. Her role involves answering queries from customers and engineers alike, filling out the planning board with jobs and arranging for any extra equipment to be on site if needed.
Andrea came to Stanair in 2009 after having previously worked in a hospital. Although she loved the work and the patients, the hours she worked were quite demanding. Joining Stanair was the perfect solution. Their flexible, understanding and supportive ethos gave her the opportunity to do what she wanted most – spend more quality time with her son. Believing that you should ‘take each day as it comes’, Andrea enjoys the friendly atmosphere of the depots as well as taking pride in making a wider difference to the entire team.
When she is not working, she can be found cooking, baking, gardening or out for a long walk with her Cockapoo Monty and she dreams of flying in a Spitfire!
Liz serves as a Service Administrator and Typist based in the Milton Keynes depot. In essence, she listens to and transcribes the quotations of the Surveyors and communicates this to the customer making her role quite the essential one.
An alumni of De Montfort University, Liz holds a BA in Business Administration, has considerable experience in her field after working for a variety of employers and a ‘can do’ attitude. Three years ago, luckily for Stanair, she was looking for a career refresh. She joined our team and … the rest is history!
Outside of the office, Liz is kept busy with her family, keeping active and looking after her menagerie of animals! As well as having Oscar the cat, the family also foster animals for the RSPCA. She has a penchant for jigsaws and would love to one day visit the barrier reef.
Craig serves as the Surveyor and Engineering Supervisor at the Milton Keynes depot. It is his role to supervise the job board and advise both customers and engineers on the best technical response to an issue. Craig is often found on site, measuring up doors and quoting for works needed and finds the role offers him ‘the best of both worlds.’
Working for Stanair, in his own words, is ‘brilliant’ and he trusts that the company will always do right by its customers and staff – which perhaps explains why he has been with us for over twenty years! Craig is motivated by the desire to go ‘above and beyond’ and also follows the mantra of, ‘Do or do not. There is no try.’ Something which may be familiar to Star Wars fans!
Outside of work, Craig has a passion for track day racing and also for car detailing. He finds great satisfaction in cleaning and making both the exterior and interior perfect. In fact, this is a pride that extends to his work vans – their cleanliness is legendary.
In the future, Craig would like to explore more of the world and is particularly interested in learning about different cultures rather than being a sun worshipper.
