Sliding to Success with Next Day Metals

When their warehouse sliding folding shutter door was broken in to Next Day Metals decided that the time was right to upgrade. Their existing shutter was heavy, difficult to open and close and getting old. They asked for our expert advice on what they do next. Well, we are always delighted to help out a fellow local company so we gave them some choices: we could repair the damage or replace the entire shutter with an electrically operated Roller Shutter which would make it faster, more secure and still keep the company colours. ASC Next Day Metals started trading in 1979 and opened their first warehouse in Northampton. Stanair were first contacted to help when their Peterborough site, which has been open since 1989, suffered from a break in. Thieves had cut a hole out of the warehouse’s existing sliding folding shutter allowing them access to the valuable metal stock. This had caused considerable damage and would prove costly to repair. Our expert surveyors suggested that, although repairs were possible, a better solution would be to replace the entire shutter with an electronically operated Roller Shutter. Not only would this help to protect their stock but it would be much easier to operate the door. The old shutter was very big and heavy and to push it open and pull it closed was quite an effort. We should know. We tried it out! Their new shutter, however, would be operated with just the simple push of a button. Easy! Not only that, we were able to ensure that their new Roller Shutter would be in their chosen company colours so it would look smart, be secure and take.
