Cablelynx and Stanair – Connecting For Success

You would not expect a business to grow and expand given recent global events but Cablelynx has not only grown but expanded in the last year. Although the company itself was born out of hardship, the resilience of the staff and owners has seen the company grow into a real success story.

Back in 2001, the founders of Cablelynx found themselves out of work and out of luck. They started assembling cables at their dining room table. 19 years later, the company has grown and expanded into new premises in Northampton. They do not just assemble cables, they also build Wiring Looms, Harnesses, Panel Builds and Sub-Assemblies – all to the customers’ precise specifications.

When they wanted to have their main sectional overhead warehouse door serviced, we were only too happy to lend our expertise.

Our engineers, Kyle and Lewis, serviced the two Sectional Overhead Doors and advised the installation of safety brakes. These devices act like an anchor. They are designed to jam into the side-track and hold the door in place should either lifting cable snap. They stop the door from free falling and potentially causing harm both to the door itself, the floor, or even a member of personnel. The installation of these brakes is not yet mandatory however, they ensure that the door meets the recent HSE recommendation.

David Dobson of Cablelynx said “We wanted to keep our doors working well and prevent any downtime of our production, so we turned to Stanair to service the doors for us and fit cable brakes to help conform to the latest safety guidelines. The engineers they sent were very knowledgeable and helpful. They worked around us and explained exactly what had been done.”

We wish Cablelynx every success in the future and look forward to working with you again.
