Since 1993, EES UK has been providing key independent industry solutions that support the lift industry in all areas from their Northampton HQ. The company provides, manufactures, and specialises in all mechanical and electrical aspects of the lift industry.
Their factory in Northampton is where they produce whatever materials are needed by their customer. Although their HQ is locally based, they also have bases in Eastbourne and Central London and, with their team of mobile engineers, provide coverage for the whole of the UK. From certifying lifting beams, fitting bespoke architraves (the moulding between the elevator and the wall), and providing fire trims, EES UK offers a wide, flexible, and quality service to their customers.
They called on us for help when the electric roller shutter for their warehouse broke down. When we arrived, we found that the door was in a bad way. We suggested that instead of repairing the door – which could be very costly - it would be more beneficial to replace the damaged door. Given the amount of use that the door saw, we recommended that they install an insulated, three-phase fast action roller shutter door. This was a sensible choice as the rapid opening and closing of the door, as well as its insulation, means that as little heat as possible escapes – thus saving on energy costs. At the same time, we upgraded the door’s electronic controls and installed a wireless safety edge system. This means that the door will not close when anything or anyone walks beneath it making it as safe as it is cost-effective.
Neil, Production Manager at EES UK said ‘our old roller shutter door was well beyond its useful life and was a constant hassle. With the help of Stanair, our new door was installed quickly and to the specification, we were looking for. It’s made a huge difference day-to-day within the business and I would certainly recommend Stanair to anyone..’
We are very happy with the results and we wish EES UK all the best in the future. To see how they could help you with your next project, visit
