Cambridgeshire businesses shine at the SME Awards
Stanair have been delighted to support the exciting SME National Awards – a series of business awards designed to celebrate entrepreneurship and small to medium enterprises.
The series of awards have been broken down into various counties, which Stanair have been delighted to sponsor surrounding their local areas.
On 5th April, it was the turn of SME Cambridgeshire. The glittering affair, held at the Marriot Hotel in Huntingdon, saw the cream of the crop in local businesses, all coming together to celebrate the success across the county.
Guests were treated to a drinks reception on arrival and had a chance to chat with fellow nominees and sponsors before being welcomed into the main event. The host for the evening was the wonderful Jules Breach, TV presenter and journalist, who ensured the event ran smoothly and was on hand to present the awards.
Stanair, as well as being a Headline Sponsor, were invited to be a part of the judging panel for nominations and present two awards on the night itself – Employee of the Year Award and Enterprising Business Award.
“We know that there are so many wonderful businesses that work across the county,” says Will Smith, Director at Stanair and Manager of the Peterborough Depot, “to see them having the opportunity to be recognised is great and it’s a pleasure for Stanair to be a part of it.”
The night was a complete success, with nineteen awards being presented across the evening and plenty of photographs to commemorate the winners and runners up along the way.
“The whole experience, from launching the awards to judging, right through to the event has been brilliant,” says Will, “I’m delighted the evening was such a success and I really look forward to seeing more news about this year’s winners and runners up in the months to come.”
