Sectional Overhead Doors - Technical Information

These doors are suitable for a variety of applications ranging from fire and ambulance stations to high class showrooms. With a variety of designs available, the doors combine practicality and energy conservation with aesthetic appearance.

Sectional overhead doors can satisfy a number of requirements including those for high insulation, maximum vision, ventilation without compromising security and elegance.

For additional convenience and practicality, the doors are also available with power operation. There are a variety of control options for power operated doors, including:

• Remote control
• Automatic timed return
• Warning lamps
• Pneumatic safety edge
• Infra-red safety beam
• Traffic detection induction loop
• Radar

Doors are typically available up to 6000mm wide and 5000mm high. Limits are however in place for certain requirements, these being:

A maximum area of 22m sq. for glass and certain other infill materials. For double glass sealed units the maximum sizes are 4000mm wide or 4000mm high with an area limit of 12m sq.

Track options allow sectional doors to fit a range of available headroom situations.
