Engineers from Stanair’s depot in Kettering have fitted a new remotely-controlled automatic vehicle barrier system for RS Components.
The Corby company needed an easy way to allow authorised vehicles access to the lorry car park.
Rather than have to install extra equipment inside the building, the intercom on the automatic road barrier system has been connected to the company’s existing phone system.
And it means that a number of different staff can now control access to the car park without having to leave their desks.
Out of hours, authorised drivers can use a keypad at the barrier to let themselves into the car park.
The automatic road barrier range from Stanair has a rapid opening time of 3.5 to 4.5 seconds.
The company’s super rapid opening barrier opens in just 0.8 seconds.
