Stanair has had a testing few weeks with a massive increase in demand for its emergency call out service.
Industrial doors are more likely to break down during extreme temperatures, through a combination of circumstances.
Firstly, they are more likely to be used repeatedly throughout the day as staff within facilities try to minimise loss of heat.
And secondly, the freezing temperatures tests all the components of the door. It only takes one component to fail to cause the door to seize up.
“In this weather our emergency call out service is critical,” explained Wayne Thompson, manager of Stanair’s depot in Milton Keynes.
“If your door is stuck open in this area then you’re going to have a very cold facility for the day.
“We get more urgent call outs at this time of the year. In the summer, people are not so worried about the door being stuck all day. But when it is freezing, our response times become more critical than ever.”
Stanair guarantees to secure or repair your door on the first engineering visit, or you don’t pay a penny. And this guarantee is why the company is so much in demand in the cold.
“Operations and facilities managers know that Stanair will get the door fixed properly first time, so they can rely on us,” Wayne added.
“We have been doing this for more than 36 years so know how to manage our resources during a big freeze. The entire business is built around our emergency response service. We pride ourselves on being here for our clients every single time they need us.”
