Stanair and Shire Security show Pride in award winners

Stanair has helped to find the Fundraiser of the Year in the 2010 Pride of Northamptonshire awards.

The industrial door company sponsored the recent awards, organised by the Chronicle & Echo and Northants ET newspapers.

92-year-old Stanley Attley from Ringstead was picked by the company for the fundraising award.

Meantime sister company Shire Security sponsored the Outstanding Example of Bravery Award.

The winners had an extraordinary story. Emilie Bull, Daniel Leeder, Shaun Sedani and Niraj Karavadra fought off an armed man when he raided a Budgens store in Kettering.

Former Eastenders and Strictly Come Dancing star Ricky Groves compered the evening, which was held at the Wicksteed Park Pavillion.
