Change in weather triggers more emergency call outs to fix industrial doors

Stanair’s four depot managers have reported an increase in emergency call outs since the weather worsened.

Every year the company sees a large number of call outs to industrial doors which are damaged or affected by wet weather and high winds.

“Virtually as soon as we had a wet and windy day, the number of emergency call outs went up,” said Will Smith, the depot manager in Peterborough.

“After 36 years in this business we are able to anticipate the increased workload, so we keep a close eye on the weather forecast and plan our available resources accordingly.”
