Stanair stocks up to prepare for a busy winter

The summer tends to be a quiet time for Stanair’s four industrial door depots – so the engineers normally use the time to prepare for the coming busy winter.

Not many people want to think about snow, rain and sleet in early September. But it’s these conditions that the engineers normally find themselves working in during the colder months.

Industrial doors that aren’t serviced regularly are much more likely to break down under extreme weather conditions. Harsh weather stresses every component within the door, and any weak point are likely to degrade. It’s often a single failed component that can cause a door breakdown.

This is why Stanair recommends every industrial door is serviced regularly (at least once a year). That significantly reduces the risk of breakdown, and the interruption to operations caused by unscheduled maintenance.

Will Smith, Stanair’s depot manager in Peterborough, explained that right now the engineers are also restocking Stanair’s parts stores.

He said: “We guarantee to either secure or repair your door on the first engineering visit or you don't pay a penny.

“And so that means we must always carry a large number of spare parts for the huge variety of industrial doors that we maintain and repair.

“A busy winter always increases demand for parts. During the summer and autumn we significantly increase our parts stores in preparation.”

To reduce the chances of your industrial doors breaking down this winter, and book an autumn service, please contact your local Stanair depot.
