A major food manufacturer has extended its premises in Corby in a unique project undertaken by Stanair.
Ashbury Chocolates is based in Darwin Road on the town’s Willowbrook Industrial Estate, where it manufactures chocolate and toffee.
And it turned to Stanair for help extending the warehousing area.
Stanair worked with the company to design and plan a unique external 3 storey tall PVC wall, closing off an open canopy area to provide extra storage space.
The flexible wall was 22m wide and 9m tall.
Engineers from Stanair’s Kettering depot installed the PVC wall plus an opening fitted with a roller shutter.
Mike Etherington, the depot manager for Stanair in Kettering, planned the project from start to finish.
He said: “Stanair has never done anything like this before. It was a truly unique and fascinating project to work on.
“We have helped Ashbury Chocolates to extend their warehousing facilities without the costs normally associated with a major extension.
“This PVC wall is a clever way to create an extension quickly and easily. We are delighted to have worked with Ashbury to install it.”
