The coach of a swimming club in Peterborough has won a major award sponsored by Stanair.
Ben Negus from City of Peterborough Swimming Club was declared the coach of the year at the Peterborough Evening Telegraph’s Sports Awards.
The award was voted for by readers of the paper, and was supported again by Stanair's depot in the city.
Stanair's Will Smith and Steve Harrison presented the trophy to him last week.
Under Ben's coaching, the swimming club has qualified for the National League Final for the first time.
Other finalists included Kevin Russell from Peterborough United and Colin Paterson from the Peterborough Phantoms ice hockey club.
Stanair's Steve Harrison said: “Stanair Industrial Door Services has been built over 35 years by developing the people it works with and the communities where they live.
“That's why we were delighted to support Coach of the Year again. The ET's sports awards help Peterborough celebrate its achievements.
“We're proud to be part of them yet again.”
