A senior member of the Stanair team in Kettering has passed a tough electrical installation exam.
Depot manager Mike Etherington has been awarded the City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing.
The course was designed by the City and Guilds in association with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC).
It means Mike is now qualified to inspect and test all of Stanair’s electrical installations.
As part of his preparation for this exam and earlier qualifications, Mike has been attending Northampton College in Northampton.
The college said: “Mike had an inspiring, conscientious approach to work despite holding a full-time job at Stanair in Kettering.
“He passed four exams and two ten-hour assessments, went onto achieve distinction grades in all six units and has since returned to the college.”
Mike’s achievement demonstrates Stanair’s solid commitment to developing its people through continual professional development.
Over the last few years it has won a National Training Award and continues to hold the Investors in People award.
