Stanair proud of the IIP Achievement
In the last month Stanair has once again been re-recognition for an 'Investor in People' award. Stanair are very proud of this achievement and what it means for the company.
For those of you who are not aware of what being an Investor in People means:
- The Investor in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to advance an organisation's performance through its people .
- It helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people
- It provides a flexible framework
- Planning, developing strategies to improve the performance of the organisation
- Doing, by taking action to improve the performance of the organisation
- Reviewing, enabling evaluation and the impact on the performance of the organisation.
The standard assists Stanair to see where training or support is needed and act upon it. The Investors in People award along with Stanair's reputation as a creditable company attracts new employees, customers and suppliers.
'This is usually our busiest time, but it doesn't feel like that; yet we've had our biggest [quarter] turnover. It's down to good training; rectification work has fallen off, less re-work, more efficient'.
The above quote demonstrates the effect Investors in People has on our staff's productivity and because of this assists in the success of the business. Stanair have been recognized as an Investor in People since 1999 during which time Stanair obtained National and Regional Training awards. Along with being recognized as an age positive employer Stanair have expanded across the Midlands and are continuing to grow with the aid of the Investor in People model.
