As the winner of the National Training Award 2002 and the "National Training Excellence Award", Stanair have been acknowledged for utilising training and development options for business success.
Their managing director, Michael Markham, was recently one of the keynote speakers at "e-learning for profit", a Northamptonshire conference held at The Saints Conference Centre in Northampton. "When I first looked at learndirect to be honest I thought it was inadequate and inappropriate", said Michael. "I felt that it was not what business needed or used - the product was good but the targeting was wrong. Last year I was encouraged to look at it again and must say that it has improved enormously. I would now say that it is a very good product that is being targeted at the right market. It offers a lot to businesses across industry sectors and people have a lot to gain from it."
Michael identified the three most positive aspects of learndirect as:
